Mouth-Watering Slow Cooker Pork Ribs Recipe
Thursday, November 3rd, 2011People love pork ribs, but often have a hard time cooking them correctly. If you have ever tried your best to cook pork ribs but still failed, then you really should take a look at this yummy slow cooker pork rib recipe.
Althought the specifics aren’t clear, the history of slow cooking pork started a very long time ago. In the period before the Civil War in the US, pork was a main stay in the average diet. Raising hogs was not hard, and farmer’s used all of the pig so that nothing was wasted. This is one reason why so many areas had many barbecues, very often on the plantations where everyone enjoyed some part of the day. Not to be left out, politicians as well took advantage of the ‘neighborhood’ barbecue event and used them as a way to gain voters loyalty.
Pork loin cuts of meat are where you will find the tender, lean pork cuts. Because they are so lean, pork loin can easily dry out if cooked too long. This however, does not need to be a concern if cooked in a slow cooker with the right amount of liquid or sauce.
While the pork ribs are busy cooking, you can make a tasty side dish of potato salad? There are many kinds of potato salad to choose from, but one of my favorites is the basic American style potato salad that will be a great addition to your pork ribs dinner.
